COMMERCIAL CIRCULAR No.42/2016 Sub: Battery Operated Vehicles for Disabled, Old aged and Sick passengers Ref: Board's Letter of even number dated 09/01/2013 (CC.No.5/2013). Instructions were issued under Commercial Circular No.38/2009 authorizing Zonal Railways to provide ‘Battery Operated Vehicles for Disabled, Old aged and Sick passengers at major railway stations through private parties on First Come First Serve basis. The scheme was subsequently extended from time to time and the same is available upto 26.08.2016. The matter has been further reviewed by Board and it has been decided to extend the scheme for a period of one year w.e.f. 27.08.2016 i.e upto 26.08.2017 on the same terms and conditions or till the facility is provided on chargeable basis at the existing stations, whichever is,earlier except at A1 category stations. At A1 category stations, the above scheme is extended till the time BOV are provided as per Commercial Circular No. 38/2016 or upto 26-08-2017, whichever is earlier.
