Reserved Carriages, Tourist Cars, Saloons & Special Trains. ‘The rules for Booking of Special Coaches and Special Trains are appearing in Chapter Il] & IV of above mentioned Coaching Tariff. In supersession of this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 3.5.2001, sorne of the rules contained in chapters Iii & IV of above mentioned Tariff have been revised/amended. The revised rules shall com come Into effect from 1° June 2001. 4% june 2001. The revised rules No. 305, 308, 312, 401, 401.1 & 407.3 and | two new rules 313-A & 406 are as under: - (1) (@) Reservation of compartments in train services. ~ Rules 301 to 304 are applicable to reservation of compartments.in coaches on regular composition of trains. oe (b) Special coaches: The authorization for attachment of special coaches in regular trains would be for - - (i) Extra coaches for clearance of extra rush/vait list passengers or coaches attached in public interest in regular trains. This would: include extra rush generated due to block booking. : है (ii) Chartered seaches requested by Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), known as IRCTC coaches, to promote tourism. —_.. ; हो) Special coma? 29 ether than IRCTC coaches on Full Tariff Rates (FTR) in regular trains. . के (c) Priority for attachment of special coaches: Normally first preference should be given to advance programmed chartered coaches of IRCTC. Thereafter preference for’clearance of waiting list passengers followed by preference to coaches attached on FTR. : पा (वी Reservation of carriages to be hauled by regular trains न Application for reservation of carriages must be made through the station managers to the Chief Passenger Traffic Manager of the Railway giving details of the destination, route to be followed halts en-route and specific train to which. the coach/saloon/Tourist car is to be attached at least 30 days in advance and hot more than 6 months prier ia the commencement of the journey. In case any parly wishes to requisition a special coach/satoon/tourist car at short noticé Le. iess than 30 days notice, specific permission must be obtained for this from the Chief Passenger Traffic Manager. It will be sole discretion of the Railway Administration ' te allot a special coach/saloon/Tourist car and. programme its moven.unt,.- depending upon the availability of coaches, paths and other opetational considerations (2) (a) Security deposit-cum-Registration charge for FTR coaches: saloonsitourist cars in regular trains - An amount as prescribed from time to time, which at present is Rs. 10,000/-, as registration charge-cum security deposit per coach/saloon/ourist car will be payable at the station from where, the proposed journey will commence, of this half will be retained as security deposit and the balance amount would be adjusted against the fare payable at the time of booking. The-security deposit will be refunded by the Station Manager of the - originating station on completion of the tour after adjusting any other amount of '' extra detention ete. (>) The deposit charges for allotment o eserved carriagesisaloon: tourist cars for journeys performed by railway employees and their families on privilege pass & passes/PTOs would be an amount as prescribed from time to time, which at present is Rs. 10,000/- per coach uniformly for carriages/tourist cars/saloons, etc. , ः ः न Note: - Tourists are exempted from paying the deposit for reserved carriage provided: - | () They apply through recognized Tourist Agents who should give a guarantee to the Railways. ~ (ii) Their journeys are sp
