Chief Commercial Manager South East Central Railway Sub: Registration of Premium Indents, allotment and supply of wagons Ref: (i) Board’s letter No. TC-1/2012/101/1 dt.31.01.2020 (ii)Chapter-I of Goods Tariff Part-I(Vol-l) and its amendments (iii) Board’s letter No. TC-1/2024/10 1 /efile/1 (3453504) dt.13.03.2024 (iv)Board’s letter No. TC-I/2022/10 I /efile/1 (3389180) dt.02.05.2024 Please refer to SECR’s letter No.C/SECR/BSP/Premium indent/efile-35845 dt.23.07.2024 wherein Railway has proposed for putting a cap of 45 days for registration of Premium Indents so as to avoid possibility of registering indents for terminals which are under restriction. Extant guidelines regarding registration of indents, allotment and supply of wagons are prescribed vide Rule 201 of Chapter-II of Goods Tariff Part-I(Vol-I), which stipulates that *...the Railway Administration, after due notice, can make such temporary variations in any of these rules as they consider fit, to meet any exceptional circumstances...”. These guidelines are also applicable in case of Premium Indents as per Board's letter under reference (iv). SECR may take appropriate action, as deemed fit.
