Issues related to Yatri Ticket Suvidha Kendra (YTSK) scheme various issues vis-à-vis provisions of YTSK scheme.

Sub: Issues related to Yatri Ticket Suvidha Kendra (YTSK) scheme. Ref: RTSA Welfare Association’s letter dated 02.11.2023. The YTSK scheme was launched vide CC no. 33/2014. The scheme has, thereafter, been reviewed from time to time. Recently, requests were received from RTSA Welfare Association raising various issues vis-à-vis provisions of YTSK scheme. 2 . The issues raised by the Association have been examined in consultation with zonal Railways, CRIS and Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways and the following has been decided:- i. ARP for YTSK : The present restriction of 15 minutes may be reduced to 10 minutes on the opening day of reservation both for general as well as tatkal booking for all authorised ticketing agents. ii. Booking of a party of more than 6 passengers by YTSK : YTKSs may be allowed to issue tickets to a party of more than 6 passengers. However, YTSKs may be allowed to book tickets on not more than 5 reservation slips from a single party. iii. Area Restriction: Zonal Railways shall ensure that there is some reasonable distance between two authorized ticketing agents of one type. This reasonable limit can be decided by zonal Railways keeping in view the local conditions. iv. Police Verification: Zonal Railways shall ensure that proper Police Verification is done before engaging YTSKs. 2.1 The aforesaid modifications in the YTSK scheme are being done on pilot basis for a period of 6 months. Zonal Railways may take suitable measures to reduce the scope of any misuse and report cases of irregularity, if any. Zonal Railways shall send the feedback of these changes after four months and these provisions shall be reviewed based on feedback received from Zonal Railways. 3. CRIS shall make requisite changes in the software. 4. Necessary instructions may be issued all concerned accordingly.
