Container Train Circular: 03/2024 03/2024 भारत सरकार GOVERNMENT OF INDIA रेल मंत्रालय/ MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (रेलवे बोर्ड / RAILWAY BOARD) No. 2020/TT-I1/73/11 Rail Bhawan, New Delhi, dt: 11.11.2024 General Managers, All Indian Railways Sub: Hub & Spoke policy for movement of container trains. Ref: i) RB’s letter No. 2011/TT-II1/73/9 ४०.॥ dt. 16.05.2017. ii) RB’s letter No. 2020/TT-11/73/11 dt. 12.11.2021 & 10.11.2023. In continuation to Railway Board's letters 2020/TT-III/73/11 dated 12.11.2021 & 10.11.2023, with the approval of the Competent Authority, it has now been decided that the inter hub distance which was reduced from 750 kms to 500 kms shall be allowed for a further period of one year w.e.f 10.11.2024. All streams earlier permitted by Board in this connection will also be allowed for the same extended period. 2. CTOs seeking this permission under Hub & Spoke policy where inter hub distance is less than 750 km shall be charged Rs 1,00,000 (One Lakh) per rake loaded for all such proposals. 3. Zonal Railways shall maintain record of movement of containers for inter-hub distance of less than 750 km under Hub & Spoke policy so that mid-term review may also be taken to asses the effectiveness of the scheme. 4. All other instructions issued on above subject will continue to hold good. 5. This issues with the approval of Traffic Commercial and Finance Directorate of Railway Board.
