Board’s letter of even number dated 28.9.2007 (Commercial 
Circular No.87 of 2007) 
 
 
Instructions regarding charging of special trains and special coaches vide 
Board’s letter No.TC-II/2033/2006/Policy dated 16.2.2007(Commercial Circular 
No.18 of 2007) have been reviewed.  In partial modification of the above letter 
Ministry of Railways have decided as under:- 
 
1. Minimum composition of trains:- Fares for booking of Special trains 
including Rajdhani/Shatabdi Express type trains will be for a minimum 
composition of 15 coaches including SLRs.  The number of coaches falling short 
of minimum composition shall be charged at fares for second class coach. 
 
2. Fare :- Fare shall be levied for the actual class of the coach. 
 
 
Other terms and conditions mentioned in the Commercial Circular No.18  
&  87 of 2007 will remain valid. 
 
 
These instructions will come into effect from 10.10.07 and will remain valid 
till 31.3.08. 
 
 
This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Dte. of the Ministry of 
Railways. 
 
 
Necessary instructions may be issued to all staff concerned.
