Instructions regarding charging of special coaches/Saloons/Tourist Cars
and special trains at full tariff rates vide Board’s letters referred above have been
reviewed and the following has been decided:
Security Deposit: Security Deposit cum Registration Charge will be levied at
the rate of Rs.50,000/-(Fifty Thousand) per coach. Half of this amount will be
adjusted towards the fare and the balance amount will be refunded to the Party
after completion of the journey and return of the coaches in sound and safe
conditions.
Minimum Composition: The minimum composition for charging of the fare for
special train including Rajdhani/Shatabadi express type trains will be 18 coaches.
Fares will be levied for actual class of the coach. The number of coaches falling
short of minimum composition (18 coaches) shall be charged at fares for Second
Class Coach.

Detention Charges: Detention Charges will be levied for detention of special
train/coaches/saloons/tourist cars at the starting, intermediate or destination
stations at the rate of Rs.600/- per hour or part of an hour per coach uniformly for
BG, MG and NG systems subject to the minimum charge of Rs.1500/- per coach
per day without giving any free time.
Other terms and conditions mentioned in C.C No.18 of 2007 will remain
unchanged.
These instructions will come into effect from the date of issue of this
letter.
This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Dte. of the Ministry of
Railways.
Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned.
