Sub: Review of charges for booking of special coaches and special 
trains at full tariff rate. 
 
 
 
Instructions regarding charging of special trains and special coaches vide 
Board’s letter No.TC-II/2033/2006/Policy dated 16.2.2007 and 1.3.2007 
(Commercial Circular No.18 and 21 of 2007) have been reviewed. 
 
 
It has been decided that the levy of variable fare scheme for special trains 
and special coaches issued vide Commercial Circular No.21 is withheld with 
immediate effect.  It has also been decided that the rate of detention charges for 
coaches will be Rs.300/- (three hundred) per hour per coach upto 31.3.2008. 
 
 
These instructions will come into effect from 01.10.07 and will remain valid 
till 31.3.08. 
 
 
This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Dte. of the Ministry of 
Railways. 
 
 
Necessary instructions may be issued to all staff concerned.
