Installation of ATMs at Railway Stations - Clarifications

Sub:

ATMs have been installed at Zonal Railways as per provision of MoU signed by
Ministry of Railways with State Bank of India and other Banks. Clarifications have been
sought by certain Zonal Railways on this account. The matter has been examined and the
position is clarified as under:- a

Clarification sought

Railway has requested for granting
permission to install ATM at Banda
Station by Punjab National Bank
whereas Banda was not figuring in any
of the lists approved by Board’s office.

Zonal Railway may be allowed to add
| more Stations on the same terms and
_| conditions as envisaged in the MoU.

AIM installation may be permitted on
“first come first serve basis”. after

taking adequate security from _ the

South Central Railway could . not
provide power supply to State Bank for
installation of ATMs due to which the
commissioning of some of the ATMs
was badly delayed. Accordingly, SBI

has requested to reckon the annual
license fee from the date of electricity.
