Sub; Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS)

Northern Railway will implement Unreserved Ticketing System from
15.8.2002. In this system unreserved tickets will be issued with following

features:-
to 4. Tickets will be issued from any of the locations which are given
below:- . ‘
New Delhi, Delhi Junction, H.Nizamuddin, Delhi Kishangany,
Sarojini Nagar, Delhi Shahdara,Ghaziabad, Shivaji Bridge
Tilak Bridge, Shakurbasti
2. These tickets will be for most of the stations in the country for
' which tickets are issued from Delhi Area.
3. The tickets will be issued upto 30 days in advance and the date
of travel will be printed on the ticket.
4, The systerh will also isstie return tickets from stations on other ©
Railways back to Delhi Area
5. The format of the ticket is enclosed herewith in Annexure A

6. All ticket checking staff may be familiarized with above type of
ticket for the purpose of checking at

You are requested to issue instructions to all ticket checking staff for
all divisions under you familiarizing with features of above ticket and ensure
that genuine passengers are not inconvenienced in any manner. The detailed

procedure order in this respect has already been circulated to your Railway —
vide letter of even number dated 8.7 2.002.

RITY FEATURES OF. UTS TICKETS

et should be printed with special Railway font & special unique character
juld be on the system, that should be uniform all over Indian Railways. .

Line Nol :- Contains coded NET cash, GROSS cash and vouchers. Collected

Line No2 :-

at the counter.
The difference of gross and net cash should be in form of
refunded tickets either cancelled or special cancelled.

The coded vouchers are the collected cash vouchers at counter.

Next is the date, Date of JCO Should in be bold charaters.

The fare, Type of Ticket and the slash Number is present in this
line. The Type can be journey, platform, SF, Return Journey: etc.

The slash number should tally with the pre-printed ticket number

on the ticket stationery.

The ‘via’ station or route of the journey and the distance in KM.

The number of adults and child permitted to travel.

Maximum of 9 adults & 9 child can be issued in the multiple

Ticket.

Line No.:-7 Random Number (4 digit numeric number) this is a unique number

for a given destination , class, date of journey. All SPTMs of the
same make anywhere over Indian Railway will generate unique
random number ona date. Date - the date of printing of this

ticket. Time- The time of generation of the ticket. Alpha Station

code - Station of generation. Window number - Window number

from which this ticket has been issued.

- PRE-PRINTED STATIONERY HAVE ki ‘OLLOWING SECURITY

FEATURES.

1.

GSM of ticket should be of 130 GSM. In no case ticket should be below
130 GSM. The paper of ticket should be purchased from “A” Grade
Paper Mill empanelled by Reserve Bank of India to make security paper
The paper should have following clear water marks:-

The security Paper Mill would provide written undertaking for
correctness of GSM of paper. |
The printing work of SPTM ticket in addition to Railway Press should be
given to ISO 9002 Printing Presses approved by Reserve. Bank of
India/Indian Banker Association as Security Printer having sufficient

experience in printing of Railway ticket o
