Sub: Commercial Publicity on PRS tickets (clarification) 
 
Ref: Board’s letter of even no. dated 20.11.06 (Commercial 
Circular No. 99 of 2006) 
 
Kindly refer to your letter No. PRS-SPTM/Paper Policy/DII/OO dated 
28.03.2007 regarding procurement of paper for PRS tickets.  The matter has been 
examined in Board and it has been decided that the standard size of the ticket should be 
maintained all over the Zonal railways.  The railway may either upgrade their 
infrastructure or the Commercial Department may be allowed to get the pre-printed 
tickets (as per revised size) from private parties if economically viable. 
 
Railway’s attention is however invited to the Board’s letter of even no. 
dated 20.11.06 wherein it has interalia been advised that in case there is no response for 
advertisements on PRS tickets, the tickets may be printed on the same stationery & in 
the same manner as being printed as of now. 
  
This issues with concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of 
Railways.
