(COMMERCIAL CIRCULAR NO. 40 OF 2008) Sub: Amendment in Tatkal Scheme. With a view to improve Tatkal utilization in those trains in which the utilization of Tatkal accommodation is less than 50% in sleeper class on an average for the whole financial year and to save the botheration of general wait listed passengers to go to reservation counter again to book berths under Tatkal, a scheme to give waitlist passengers of such trains, an opportunity to opt for booking under Tatkal quota at the time of buying their ticket itself even before start of Advance Reservation Period(ARP) of Tatkal booking for that train was implemented vide this office letter of even No. Dated 28.09.07(Commercial Circular No.-76/2007) on an experimental basis for a period of 6 months. Zonal Railways were requested to send the feedback of this scheme after 4 months of implementation, which have only been received from 3 Zonal Railways i.e. East Coast, Northern and South East Central Railways. The matter has been reviewed accordingly and it has been decided to continue with the scheme for another 6 months i.e. upto 30.11.2008. All Zonal Railways are requested to send the feedback of the scheme for the period upto 31.08.08 which should reach this office latest by 30.09.08 to enable a final decision being taken in the matter. EDF), DF@), Frc) &r- for Financial Commissioner/Railways. भारत सरकार रेल मंत्रालय (रेलवे बोर्ड) सं. 2007/ठीजी-1/20/पी/तत्काल ः नई दिल्ली, दिनांक [ 8६ .08 (2008 का वाणिज्यिक परिपत्र सं. 40) wa विषय: तत्काल योजना में संशोधन. वे गाड़ियां जिनमें पूरे वित्तीय वर्ष के लिए औसत आधार पर शयनयान श्रेणी में तत्काल TRC, दी उपयोगिता 50% से कम है, उनमें 'तत्काल' की उपयोगिता बढ़ाने और सामान्य प्रतीक्षा सूची वाले यात्रियों को तत्काल के तहत सीट बुक कराने के लिए पुनः आरक्षण काउंटर पर जाने की परेशानी से बचाने के लिए, ऐसी गाड़ियों के प्रतीक्षा सूची बाले यात्रियों को, उस गाड़ी के लिए तत्काल बुकिंग की अग्रिम आरक्षण अवधि (ए आर पी) के शुरू होने से पहले ही अपने टिकट खरीदने के समय तत्काल कोटा के तहत बुकिंग के लिए विकल्प प्रदान करने के अवसर की योजना इस कार्यालय के 28.09.07 के समसंख्यक पत्र (वाणिज्यिक परिपत्र सं. 76/2007) द्वारा प्रयोगात्मक आधार पर 6 महीने मुख्य वाणिज्य प्रबंधक, सभी भारतीय रेलें. Bl अवधि के लिए कार्यान्वित की गई थी. क्षेत्रीय tel से इस योजना के कार्यान्वयन के 4 महीने बाद फीड बैक भेजने के लिए अनुरोध किया गया था, जो केवल 3 क्षेत्रीय रेलों अर्थात् पूर्व तट, उत्तर और दक्षिण पूर्व मध्य tet से प्राप्त हुआ है. ः मामले की तदनुसार पुनरीक्षा की गई है और योजना को अगले 6 महीने अर्थात 30.11.2008 तक जारी रखने का विनिश्चय किया गया है. सभी क्षेत्रीय रेलों से योजना का 31.08.08 की अवधि तक का फोड बैक भेजने का अनुरोध किया जाता है जो इस कार्यालय को 30.09.2008 तक अवश्य पहुंच जाना चाहिए ताकि इस मामले में अंतिम निर्णय लिया जा सके. द इसे रेल मंत्रालय के वित्त निदेशालय की सहमति से जारी किया जा रहा है. उप निदेशक, या.वा.(सा.)
