                                            Sub:- Handing over of the management of bookstalls to IRCTC. 
 
              Ministry of Railways have decided that the management of bookstalls at A,B, and C 
categories of stations will be undertaken by IRCTC . Therefore, all the railways should hand over 
these stalls to IRCTC  on "as is where is basis " subject to the following:- 
 
1. The management of bookstalls will be governed by general terms and condition of the 
MOU between IRCTC  and Ministry of Railways and IRCTC  will follow the Bookstall 
Policies and guidelines issued on the subject by the Ministry of Railways from time to time. 
 
     2.   The sharing of the license fee from book  stalls between IRCTC  and Indian   
            Railways will be in the ratio of 75% and 25% respectively for a period of 5 years and the 
same will be reviewed thereafter. 
    
3. All the court cases pertaining to Bookstalls should also be handed over to IRCTC and these 
cases should be defended by IRCTC  henceforth. 
 
4. Management of the Bookstalls which are allotted to philanthropic and social organization 
based on application system, will continue to be done by Zonal railways.
