New Dethi (Commercial Circular NoQeof 2012) Sub: Taking over of the management of bookstalls from IRCTC by Zonal Ratlwavs. Refi- Board's letter no. No. 2007/1TGILV462/1 dated 11.04.2007 and 17.07.2008, Ministry of Railways have decided that the management and operation of bookstalls handed over to IRC EC vide Board's letter dt 11.04.2007 and 17.01.2008 be taken back by the Zonal Railways on “as is where is basis” subject to the following: The sharing of the license fee from bookstalls between IRCTC and Indian Railways inthe ratio of 75° and 25% respectively would be terminated with effect from the date of issue of this letter and Zonal Railway will collect the entire 100 % of license fee from the bookstall licensee thereafier. Simultaneously. the Railways share of outstanding dues trom IRCTC may be processed for early recovery. All the court cases pertaining to Bookstalls handed ever to IRCTC have to be taken back from IRCTC and hencelorth these cases should be defended by Zonal Railways This issue with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways and approval of competent authority.
