(COMMERCIAL CIRCULAR NO. 28 OF 2015) Sub: Extension of scheme of Station Ticket Booking Sewak (STBS) Instructions were issued vide this office letter no. 2011/TG-I/20/P/JTBS dated 24.10.2013 (Commercial Circular no. 66 of 2013) regarding appointment of STBS at “E’ category stations as a pilot project for one year only. 2. Based on the feedback received during the pilot project, the modified STBS scheme is being finalised in consultation with Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways and will be issued shortly. 2.1 In the meantime, references have been received from Zonal Railways seeking clarifications regarding the STBS who are already working and have completed one year as STBS. Railways have also requested for extension of the scheme beyond the period of one year. 3. Accordingly, the matter has been examined in consultation with Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways and it has been decided that the tenure of the existing STBS who have completed one year may be extended for another six months or till finalisation of tender as per new provisions, whichever is earlier. 3.1 Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned. 4, .
