GOVERNEMNT OF INDIA (Na सरकार) MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (ta मंत्रालय ) RAILWAY BOARD Qaa बोर्ड) No. 2014/TG-1/20/P/STBS New Delhi, dt !5°,1.2015 The General Managers All Zonal Railways (COMMERCIAL CIRCULAR NO.@L OF 2015) Sub: Senior Seale Officers’ committee for assessment of need to appoint STBS (Stations Ticket Booking Sewak) Ref: Commercial Circular No. 66/2013, As per extant provisions under para 2(a) of the Scheme enclosed with CC 66/2013, the need to appoint STBS is to be assessed by a committee consisting of JA Grade Officers from Commercial, Operating and Accounts Depis. of the concerned Division and as per para 2(e) Sr. DCM will be the accepting authority in case of recommendations (for appointment of STBS) made by the Assistant Scale tender committee 2. In this regard, references have been received from some Zonal Railways advising the problems being faced by them in floating of tenders due to non-availability of JAG officers in all the Divisions, The Railways have therefore, requested to modify these instructions and to revise the level of the assessment committee so that the project of STBS can be implemented successfully, 3. The matter has been examined in Board. Accordingly, in partial relaxation of instructions issued vide para 2(a) of CC 66/2013, it has been decided that in order to facilitate proliferation of STBS in Divisions which do not have JAG level officers, Zonal Railways may appoint Senior Scale Officers on the Committee which is required to assess the need for STBS. 4, It has further been decided that in Divisions where a JA Grade Officer (Sr. DCM) is not available, the accepting authority as mentioned in para 2(e) shall be at the level of Divisional Commercial Manager who is a Sr. Scale Officer. 5. Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned. 6.
