Sub: Shoe-shine contracts at Railway Stations.

Please refer to Board’s letter no. 99/TG-IV/8/Boot Polish/Policy dated
23.03.99, 23.11.2000 & 25.02.2002 and Board’s letter no. 2006/TG-
IV/8/21/WR dated 22.12.06 wherein detailed policy guidelines for award of
Shoe-shine contract at railway stations were issued. The matter regarding
review of shoe-shine policy has been under consideration of the Board for
quite some time, the same has been reviewed.

It has been decided to authorise Zonal Railways (General Manager) to '
frame their own policy guidelines for awarding of Shoe-shine contracts at
Railway Stations.

This supersedes all earlier policy guidelines issued in this 1 rd and
has the approval of Board (MT).
