Shoe-shine contract on stations issued to the shoe-shine boys by the society which all the boys should put on

Railways( with 36 spare copies) कि > For aca Railway Board. mn oe 38 L 2. 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 2.5 2.6 2.7 SHOE SHINE CONTRACT ON STATIONS STRATEGY In order to generate employment opportunities for the persons belonging to lowest strata of the society, we may award Shoe-shine licences to the cooperative societies of workers in the tanning industry or in the manufacture - ~ of feather goods such as shoes, etc. Out of these cooperatives, preference should be given to those which compose substantially or fully of members of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. Terms and conditions of Shoe->) of Shoe-Shine contracts on stations. The contract will be for 2 period of 3 years and thereafter renewable after avery 3 years subject to. review of performance well in advance The licenses for shoe polishing at stations are to be given to cooperatives of workers in the tanning. industry or in the manufacture of leather goods such as shoes, etc and each contract should not cover more than one civil district as distinct from a Railway district The contract to the society will be awarded between certain fixed stations to be decided by the competent authority. Security deposit and licence fee-shali be paid by the licencee/society at a rate which is to be fixed by. the railway administration in consultation with the - local finace with built-in provision for escalation. A copy of the constitution of the society should be submitted by the society alongwith a list of their members within a week of acceptance of the contract prior to its execution. . The constitution should clearly indicate that their members belong to SC & ST and mt er sections of the society. In case of absence of such clause they should submit an affidavit for the same. — Execution of Agreement should be done within. a week of acceptance of the contract and after submission of the constitution with a list of members. Distribution of Shoe-shine boys by the/society should be done with the prior permission of railway authority. ः 37 "- 28 2.9 2.10 2.11 — 2.12 2.13 2.14 2.15 ' : 2.16 2.18 All Shoe shine boys should be medically examined by the railway Doctor twice in a year and the certificate to that effect should be sent to the office for record. The box with stand for shoe shine should be of same colour and size and uniform consisting of blue half pant, half shirt and a cap shall be provided to the boys by the society in the summer and in winters they should be provided with blue full pant, full shirt with a blue Jersey and a cap The laminated identity card with photograph duly signed and stamped will be issued to the shoe-shine boys by the society which all the boys should put on their uniforms while they are on railway premises. Cards should indicate their names and age. In case any boy is found without the card, he will be treated as unauthorised vendor and suitable action will be taken against the boys as well as the institution The shoe shine Boxes should be painted with the authorised rate of shoe . Shine, for each ordinary polish as well as for cream polish No shoe shine boy below 18 years
