Sub: Installation of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at 711 Railway 
Stations on Indian Railways. 
 
 
Please refer to this office letter of even number dated 07-12-2006 (Commercial 
Circular No. 104 of 2006) on the subject quoted above enclosing therewith a copy 
each of MoU signed by Ministry of Railways on 22/11/2006 with six nationalized 
Banks namely Punjab National Bank, Dena Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, 
Indian Bank and Union Bank of India for installation of Automated Teller Machines 
(ATMs) at 711 locations alongwith the copy of Standard Agreement form for 
installation of ATMs and the list of stations pertaining to zonal railway concerned on 
which ATMs are to be installed. 
 
 
Informal queries have been raised by the Banks as well as certain Railways 
regarding allotment of site at those locations where more than one Bank have been 
allowed to instal ATMs. It is clarified that at those locations where two or more 
Banks have been allowed to install ATM, allocation of site will be done by draw 
of lots.
