This is a facility to the customers, which can be availed without going to destination station. ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 3 --> # Rebooking of following goods is not permitted: Perishables. Explosive and other dangerous goods. Iron Ore Part consignments. Articles on which percentage charge on excess value is paid. Animals. When bans and restrictions are in force at the new destination. ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 4 --> # Documents required to be submitted for rebooking. The consignor or consignee or endorsee or owner of the goods shall submit an application addressed to the Station Master for rebooking. A fresh forwarding note. Original Railway Receipt or Parcel Way Bill. ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 5 --> # If Railway Receipt is lost, an Indemnity bond to be executed. Self addressed envelope with sufficient postage stamps for sending the rebooking Railway Receipt by registered post Acknowledgement due. ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 6 --> # Procedure: Station Master can rebook parcels. Prior permission of D.C.M. should be taken for rebooking of wagon load and trainload traffic. In case of defective condition, a remark should be obtained on forwarding note. All old marks should be removed and fresh marking is ensured. ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 7 --> # Consignment should be reweighed and compared with the weight on the Railway Receipt. If prepayment of freight is compulsory, freight charges should be paid at the rebooking station. If any Demurrage or Wharfage charges are accrued, they should also be paid at the rebooking station. ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 8 --> # ‘Paid on To-Pay’, in case the consignment is booked as To-Pay Original freight charges due, if any. Freight charges due for rebooking to new destination. Demurrage and Wharfage charges accrued if any will be accounted as ‘Paid on To-Pay’ in the rebooking Railway Receipt. ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 9 --> # All these charges should be collected at the new destination station before granting delivery of the consignment. Rebooking is treated as fresh booking for all purposes. ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 11 --> # DIVERSION ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 12 --> # Diversion means diverting a loaded wagons or rake from a common junction to a new destination. COM of the zone in which wagons are physically available is empowered to grant permission for diversion of the wagons / rake. It is a facility extended to the trading public, but it is not guaranteed. ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 13 --> # Diversion is not permitted: When the wagons or rake passed through the common junction or reached the original destination, In case of Perishables, Animals and Offensive goods, Iron Ore, When Bans and Restrictions are in force at the new destination & When the ownership of the consignment is in dispute. ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 14 --> # Diversion Fee: Diversion fee of `.300/- per wagon is collected and a money receipt is issued. Diversion fee is not collected when the COM orders diversion in the interest of the nation. ### Notes: <!-- Slide number: 15 --> # Procedure: The owner of the goods should apply for diversion. He must establish the title of the goods and pay the diversion fee.
