Ref: Board’s Rates Circular No. 60 of 2009 and its Corrigenda; 15 of 2010 and its Corrigenda; 23 of 2013; 25 of 2013 and its Corrigenda; 26, 27 & 28 of 2013; 31 of 2014 and its corrigenda, 26 of 2015 & 25 of 2017; 22 of 2019 and its addendum; 24 of 2020; 29 of 2021; 10 of 2022; 06 of 2023 and 08 of 2024. 1. Reference above, sanctions were accorded to grant rebate in freight for Caustic Soda Liquor/ Caustic Soda/ Caustic Soda Lye; Alumina; Furnace Oil; Ammonia (anhydrous liquefied gas); Phosphoric acid; and Bulk Cement when loaded and transported in privately owned wagons. 2. In terms of Rates Circular No. 08 of 2024, the rebate was accorded for the period beyond 31.03.2024 and valid up to 31 .03.2025. 3. The grant of rebate will be subject to amendment in the existing agreement with the respective wagon owner(s) clearly mentioning the total number of privately owned wagons; their ownership; their codal life; and stipulation regarding ownership of wagon after completion of codal life of wagon. The rebate will be continued till the codal life of the wagons and will be granted only on mechanically and functionally fit wagons. Any new wagon should only be procured under any new prevalent scheme(s). 6. The rebate will not be applicable for the commodities mentioned herein above when transported in wagons which are availing concession against their procurement under any investment scheme like WIS, LWIS, SFTO, LSFTO, GPWIS etc. 7. FOIS should take necessary safeguards to ensure that rebate mentioned herein above is not given concurrently with specific rebate given for other scheme like WIS, LWIS, SFTO, LSFTO, GPWIS etc. Mechanism should be developed to insert flag of this check in TMIS/FOIS, and that should also be checked at frequent interval. 8. All other terms and conditions as stipulated in above referred Rates Circulars will continue to apply unchanged. 9. These instructions shall come into force with effect from 01.04.2025 and shall remain valid till 31.03,2026. 10.
