Sub : Rates for Automobile Traffic carried on NMG/BCCNR and BCACM Wagons. Ref. : 2.1 Board’s Rates Circular No.19 of 2016 dated 07.06.2016 amended from time to time vide Rates Circular 17 of 2017 dated 23.05.2017; Rates Circular No.11 of 2018 dated 31.05.2018; Rates Circular No. 22 of 2018 dated 15.11.2018; Rates Circular No.24 of 2019 dated 27.11.2019; and its corrigenda 01-06. 2 4 2 2 2 In supersession '... of Rates Circulars/corrigenda under reference, sanction of the Competent Authority is hereby accorded to rationalize freight rates for Automobile Traffic when moved in NMG/BCCNR and BCACM wagons. The revised rates are given in Annexure to this circular. NMG/BCCNR wagons and BCACM wagons when loaded with automobile (including 2-wheelers and tractors will be charged at Class NMG/BCCNR and BCACM Class respectively. When Automobile traffic booked in NMG/BCCNR and BCACM wagons for distance beyond 3500 km, the freight should be calculated as per the following: “Firstly, freight per km should be calculated for the highest available distance i.e. 3500 km. For arriving freight for any distance beyond 3500 km, the freight per km arrived should be multiplied by the actual distance.” Illustration: Say freight for 3500 km for NMG wagons is Rs.x. Therefore, per km rate comes to Rs. x/3500. For any distance beyond 3500 km say 3605 km, the freight should be Rs. (x/3500)* 3605. The Permissible Carrying Capacity (PCC), standard and minimum composition of NUG/BCCNR and BCACM rakes will be as under: | Stock | The number of wagons indented must be for the normal composition of wagons mentioned above. If the number of wagons supplied by the Railways is equal to or more than the indented number, the party will have to load at least all the indented number of wagons. Rates Circular No. 32 of 2021 than the minimum composition of wagons and freight for the rake will be charged for the actual number of wagons loaded. In cases where even minimum composition of wagons cannot be supplied by the Railway against the indent of the party. The party should not be penalized. In such cases, the freight for actual number of wagons supplied by Railway will be charged. To deal with such situation, the procedure stipulated in Sub Para 4 of Para 3.0 Rates Master Circular/Block Rakes/Mini Rake/Two Point Combination/etc./2020 dated 02.07.2020, as amended/re-notified from time to time, should be followed. Indents should be made specifically mentioning the type of wagons. Priority of NMG/BCCNR and BCACM will be maintained separately. The movement of NMG rake wherein along with Motor Vehicles, some wagons are loaded with Spare Parts or Other Machinery; some wagons with Lubricating Oil like Grease, then charging will be as under: Charged at Motor Vehicles NMG freight rate per wagon basis Machiner Goods Tariff etc. Tariff - Commodities other than Motor Vehicles are allowed to be carried in NMG wagons are subject to the condition that the commodities must be duly packed in such a way that it shall not harm the wagon during transportation. The rates of the aforesaid Classes shall be applicable at following Terms & Conditions: i) | Various charges under Dynamic Pricing Policy like Busy Season Charge are not leviable on automobile traffic moved in these rakes.
