The list of 126 trains for booking parcels under scale 'R' is at annexure ‘A’. 2 The list of 44 trains for booking parcels under scale 'P' is at annexure 'B’. 3. The remaining trains which are not classified shall be charged for booking of parcels and luggage by scale 'S' except for new trains being introduced during the current year which will be charged at scale 'P’ The above rates shall be applicable to non-leased parcel traffic booking through railway by various rail users for transportation of their consignments through train service brake vans or parcel vans (Non-leased) While calculating rates for Rajdhani/Shatabdi/Duronto/Suvidha (regular trains) trains, if these trains are in 'R' scale parcel rates shall be charged 25% over the scale 'R’ rates. Registered newspapers and magazines will continue to be booked at concessional rates uniformly at 45% of scale 'S' with minimum charges prescribed as per ARN No. 10 of 2012 The minimum freight for non-leased parcel vans (VPU/VPH/VPs) for which indents have been placed by the parties shall be at scale 'P’ even when attached by trains which come under the category of standard parcel service at scale '8' The revised rationalized rate structure is effective from 01.06.2024.
