Sub: Stabling Charge in case of Road Railer Train

Ref: (i) Para 6.0 of Chapter-I of Rates Master Circular/Demurrage-Wharfage-Waiver/2016/0

(ii) Corrigendum No.38 dated 22.03.2023 of Rates Master Circular/Demurrage-Wharfage-
Waiver/2016/0

Please refer to Board’s circulars under reference regarding Stabling Charge.

In terms of Para 6.0 of Chapter-I of Rates Master Circular/Demurrage-Wharfage-
Waiver/2016/0, Stabling Charge is levied for detention of privately owned stock at railway
premises in any circumstances - (i) when party is unable to receive such stock in their siding or
(ii) when party declines to accept such stock in their siding. Stabling Charge is levied from the
time of arrival to the time of removal.

As per Board’s circular under reference (ii), the rate of Stabling Charge is Rs.630/- per
wagon per day or part thereof, which is valid till 31.03.2024 (and as amended from time to time).

These guidelines are applicable for all types of privately owned stock including Road
Railer Train.

This issues in consultation with Freight Marketing Branch of Railway Board.
