Board has emphasized, time and gain, the need for system-based working in Freight
Business to obviate manual intervention.

Attention is invited to Board’s letter under reference (i) where instructions were issued to
follow TMS module of Demurrage & Wharfage and vide Board’s letter under reference (iii) for
implementation of system based preparation of Demurrage & Wharfage bill.

Further, vide Board’s letter under reference (ii), Zonal Railways have been advised for
preparation and submission of Online Goods Balance Sheet and vide Board’s letter under
reference (iv) railways have been asked to ensure correct feeding of data and timely submission
of balance sheet in FOIS.

FOIS has informed that most of the data are automatically populated by the system in the
balance sheet in the Online Goods Balance Sheet (OGBS) module.

All concerned may be directed for correct feeding of data in respect of Demurrage &
Wharfage in TMS/FOIS and also to ensure system based preparation of Demurrage & Wharfage
