Chief Commercial Manager All Zonal Railways Sub Registration of demand for wagons electronically(e-RD) through FOIS web portal Ref: (i) Rates Master Circular/e-RD/2019/0 and its amendments (ii)Board's letter No. TC-1/2020/ IO I /I dt.13.07.2020 Please refer to Board's circulars/letter under reference regarding registration of demand for wagons electronically (e-RD). With the objective to achieve digitalization in freight business in line with the digitization in other government transactions, the matter is under consideration to make electronic registration of indent for wagons mandatory for all kinds of traffic except Military Traffic, Traffic moved under natural calamities, disasters etc. as relief measure and any traffic which PCCM may define on physical mode of registration of indents. However, in case of container traffic, the existing Demand cum Release module will continue. Zonal Railways are requested to have consultation with all stake holders including freight customers and furnish their feedback by 27th July, 2022. Matter may be accorded top priority.
