CRIS vide letter dated 06.11.202,+ inforrned that it has corre to rroticc that parcel staff is not aware about
availability of e-PWB Iacility'for tlooking and [)elivery of packages in PMS Applicatiorr. CRIS has alst.r
enclosed rclcvant screenshot irr this regard (Copy enclosed as Annexure-A).
ln order to avail this facility. the ernail id and the nrobile nurnber of the consignor & cousignee are to be
provided by cortsignor at the tirne of booking at thc courrter. An email containing sofl copy ol-the rcceipl
(e-PWB) will be sent to corrsigrror's email id in thc firrnr o1'P[)l:. Consignor will tbrward this crlail to the
consignee. In order to takc delivery of consigrrnrcnt. consignce has to produce an electronic copl'(l'Dll
lornrat) at the courrter along witlr O'l'P conl'irnratiorr receivcd on hii rnobile/ernail.
'fhis office letter dated 04.10.2021 alongwith Railway lJoard letter dated 24.08.2021(containing
guidelines on e-PWB/e-L'I') is also attached as Annexur.e B and C.
Zone is requested to circulate tlre afbresaid instrr,rctions to their respcctive parcel office for irtfornration
and these instructiorrs may be placed at corrspicuous place at the parcel offlce fbr tlre convenierrce of
Railway staff and custorners.

During a recent meeting with AM (Commercial) held on 05.11.2024 at Railway
Board, it came to notice that parcel staff is not aware about availability of ePWB
facility for Booking & Delivery of packages in PMS Application. The instructions in
this regards were circulated to all Zonal Railways vide your letter referred at 1 above
after getting the procedural approval of Railway Board vide letter referred at 2 above.
The instructions proposed vide letter referred at 3 above are reiterated as under.
"ln order to avail this facility, the email ID and the mobile number of the consignor &
consignee are to be provided by consignor at the time of booking at the counter. An
email containing soft copy of the receipt (e-PWB) will be sent to consignor's emai! id
mentioned in the form of PDF. Consignor wil! forward this email to the consignee. ln
order to take the delivery of consignment, consignee has to produce an electronic
copy (PDF format) at the counter along with OTP confir:mation received on his
m ob i le/em a i !" (releva nt screenshot attached ).
lnstructions issued by your office vide letter referred at 1 above may be re-circutated
to all concerned.
