Office Order No. 47 of 2025

Comprehensive instructions laying down the procedure
for submission of request for release of accommodation out
of emergency, quota were issued Office Order No, 40 of 2009
dated 25.05.2009 and reiterated vide office Order No. 59 of
2011dated 29.09.2011, No. 53 of 2012 dated 04.10.2012,
No. 12 of 2015 dated 21.01.2015, and No. 63 of 2018 dated
18.07.2018.

2. pai'e,feservation Cell in Railway Board receives a large
Humber of requests from VIPs. Railway, Officers, Senior
Officers and other Departments etc. All efforts are made to
allot the quota judiciously and with common prudence.
However, in view of revised chart timing issued vide CC no.
10 of 2625, the competent authority has decided that to
ensure proper sorting and scrutiny the following procedure
will be adopted:

\ Emergency, quota request for all the, trains, leavin
between 0000 hours to 1400 hours should reach EQ cel
upto 1200 hours on the previous day of journey.

4, Emergency quota request for all the remaining trains
leaving between 1401 hours and 2359 hours should
teach 60 call upto 1600 hours on the previous day of
umney.

li Further, request received on the same day of the
schedule departure of train will not be entertained.

lv. The requests for release of accommodation in trains, for
which the Emergency Quota js to be released’ on
Sundays or clubbed holidays after Sunday, should be

2.1. All officers are requested to adhere to these timings so

that the allotments are given in time and chart preparation is

not delayed which, not only results in extreme difficulties to
the traveling public but can also lead to delay in departure of
rains.

2.2 _ Further, forwarding authority shall ensure genuineness
of person under reference and also ensure strict compliance

to existing guidelines regarding. allotment, of Emergency
Quota issued vide office order referred above and CC no. 1
of 2011,

2.3 It may also be ensured that all reservation requisition
slips should contain the Name, Designation, and
Phone/mabile number of the recommending authority and
Name, Address, and Phone/mobile number of any one of the
passengers,
