As you are aware Board has approved implementation of TAMS for online submission of
Station Balance Sheets and associated documents by Stations. In this regard instructions have already
been issued that from 1* March 2023, all balance sheets for goods traffic should be prepared through
TMS and submitted electronically.

Now the development and testing in respect of Coaching Balance Sheet is also completed. It
has, therefore, been decided that from the date of issue of this letter, all e-CR Notes for coaching
traffic should be generated through the system (UTS) and transmitted electronically (non-editable,
read only) along with relevant documents from UTS to TAMS.

No manual Balance Sheet will be sent for the month of February 23. For this purpose, TA
office will update the closing balance in Balance Sheets of January'23 in TAMS. This data will
become the opening balance for the month of February'23 in UTS. To map the closing balances of
TAMS into UTS, the following steps may be taken:

1. The heads which are available in TAMS and not in UTS balance sheet may be created.

2. The heads available in TAMS balance sheet are sufficient and are standardized across Indian
railways. The same may be adopted in UTS Balance sheet.

System Balance Sheet of February’23 will be submitted to TAMS through UTS invariably
along with relevant documents. The already finalized Balance sheet for the month of February’23 may
be reset by CRIS and station are required to finalized the same after verification of opening balances.
The scheduled date for submission of system Balance Sheet from the next month onwards shall be 4!"
day of the following month beyond which, Balance Sheet submission will not be available in the
system. Kindly also ensure that the internal processes are finalized for old transactions i.e pertaining
to month before February’ 2023 for which credit will be given with matching window of UTS and
TAMS.

CRIS may preserve all the documents viz. Balance Sheet, e-CR and other station returns

generated from system as per codal provision.

This issues in consultation with Commercial directorate of Railway Board.
