Guidelines regarding SMART cards to be used with Automatic Ticket ‘Vending ~ Machines and printing of tickets are given below कि: 1,0SMART Cards: ३.1. The initial value of the card can be in denomination of Rs. 100, Rs 200 and Rs 500 and top up value can be in multiples of Rs, 50/- (Rs Fifty only), 4.2 A flat 5% usage value may be given to the passenger over and above the denomination of the card value, This effectively means that 8 passenger avails more value for cards of higher denomination. 1.3 Rs, 100 (Rupees One hundred only) as security money for the SMART card issued may be charged from the passenger and refunded in case the card is returned within the period of validity and is not mutilated. 1.4 Refunds in case of unused or partially used smart cards may be allowed by deducting a clerkage charge of Rs. 10 (Rs Ten only). 4.5 The validity period of the card will be six months from the date last refilled. 1.6 No duplicate smart cards willbe issued in case of loss/theft of smart cards. 1.7. Incase the card is mutilated or is not readable then fresh card may be issued on payment of clerkage of Rs. 10 (Rs Ten only). 2.0Guidelines for printing of tickets: 2.1 The ticket stationery should have pre-printed number for ease of stock taking. CRIS wil be advised to examine feasiblty and develop Software for detecting mismatch in the preprinted stationery number and the system generated number and flashing it on the administrator's terminal at the CBS office. 2.2. The model of the proforma on the basis of the JTBS is being adopted for the additional reports to be generated. 3,0Miscellaneous guidelines: 3.4. A consolidated system is proposed to compile all the transactions as tickets will be issued for Central railway from Western railway issued ‘cards and vice-versa. The re-appropriation will be done on monthly bbasis as is being done on monthly season tickets. 3.2. Refund of tickets issued from ATVMs will be as per the existing rules. 3.3 ATVMs will be used for issuing Platform tickets also. ‘This issues in consultation with Accounts, Commercial and Finance Directorates of Railway Board. ८ (Chhatrasaf Singh) Director (085) Copy to: 1.
