(Amendment No. 11 to ‘Leasing of Parcel Cargo Express Train Policy’) Sub: Amendment to ‘Policy for Leasing of Parcel Cargo Express Train’— ‘Frequency of Service’ — reg. Ref: EFM Circular No. 02/2007, Board’s letter No. 2007/TC(FM)/10/3, dtd. 20.02.2007. KREKK 1. Attention is invited to Para 9.0 of the PCET Policy (issued vide Board’s FM Circular No. 02/2007, dtd. 20.02.2007), which stipulates provision for “Frequency of Service’. 2. The matter has been deliberated upon, and with a view to liberalize the Policy, it has been decided to amend the same. Accordingly, Para 9.0 of the FM Circular No. 02 of 2007 stands amended and shall be read as under: 9.0 ‘Frequency of Service’ — The service will be provided with minimum frequency of at least two trips per month. However, Zonal Railways (with the approval of the concerned DRM) may increase the minimum number of trips per month before floating the tenders duly considering the operational feasibility and availability of stock. After the contract becomes operational, the frequency can be increased (beyond the prescribed minimum frequency) in view of demand, availability of stock and operational feasibility with mutual consent at the same rates. 3. These instructions shall come into force from immediate effect. 4. This issues in consultation with Coaching Directorate, and with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways. 5.
