Sub: General Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme (GPWIS) - Agreement to be signed between the ‘Party investing in General Purpose Wagons’ and ‘Railway Administration.’ The policy guidelines on “GENERAL PURPOSE WAGON INVESTMENT SCHEME (GPWIS)” were issued under Freight Marketing Master Circular/GPWIS/2018/0 vide Railway Board's letter No. 2018/TC(FM)/4/01 dated 26.04.2018. As per provision contained in para 2 of chapter -II of the Master Circular, General Purpose Wagon applicant shall sign an agreement with Railway Administration. In this connection, a specimen copy of the agreement to be executed between the ‘Party investing in General Purpose Wagons’ and “Railway Administration’ under the “General Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme (GPWIS)” has been uploaded on the Indian Railways’ website (path) : http://w ww. indianrailways.gov.in ---------- > RailwayBoard Directorates ----- > Traffic Commercial This issues with the approval of Rates, Traffic Transportation, and Mechanical Directorates of Ministry of Railways.
