Red Tariff No. 20 (Railway Red Tariff Rules, 2000) - inclusion of additional commodities for movement of consignments as parcel in passenger carrying trains and parcel trains. नह के न के न नंद न In view of the changing nature of parcel traffic, it has been decided to include certain commodities (such as household cleaning/ sanitizing products, cosmetics/ personal hygiene products, Lithium/ Lithium-ion batteries, battery-powered vehicles, etc) in the I.R.C.A. Red Tariff No. 20 (Railway Red Tariff Rules, 2000) - to facilitate movement of these commodities via Railways’ parcel services. The Red Tariff has accordingly been modified vide the Gazette Notification No. GSR 83(E) dated 3.2.2023 (enclosed herewith). The aforementioned notification contains references to RID (Regulations concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail), which is included in Appendix-C of Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF). For convenience, the pdf of said document, as well as the hyperlink/ url of relevant website, has been uploaded along with the Gazette Notification on Railway Board’s ‘FM Circulars web page.’ Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned including the staff for ensuring compliance.
