(BHARAT SARKAR) - MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (RAIL MANTRALAYA) (RAILWAY BOARD) Weak he vedere ‘No. 2012/TG-1/20/JTBS New Delhi, dated 05.08.2013 Chief Commercial Managers, All Zonal Railways. — (COMMERCIAL CIRCULAR NOS1 OF 2013) Sub: Amendment in Jan Sadharan Ticket Booking Sewak (JTBS Scheme) Instances have come to notice of this office that some JTBS operators have expressed their inability to operate JTBS, after appointment as JTBS operator by Zonal Railways and have requested for the refund of security deposit and Bank Guarantee 2. For appointment of JTBS, Railway has to fulfil various procedural requirements . Viz. issue of advertisement for calling applicants, selection -of candidate, issuing orders etc. However, in the existing scheme for appointment of JTBS, there is no penal clause in case the selected candidate expresses inability to operate JTBS after allotment of JTBS. 3, The matter has been examined and it has been decided to amend.the scheme by adding para 3 (f) as under:- “In case the JTBS operator expresses inability to operate ITBS, after appointment as JTBS operator by Zonal Railway, the bank guarantee as well as the security deposit made by the ITBS operator will be forfeited”. 4, This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways. 5. Necessary. instructions may be. sent to all concerned. A declaration to this effect may be obtained from the applicant when he/she applies for JTBS and the format of the agreement to be signed with JIBS at the time of their appointment may also be modified suitably 0...
