Sub: Simplification of procedure of granting refund by Zonal
Railways to IRCTC in case of e/i-tickets

Please refer to Board’s letter No.2001/TG1/20/P/ITS. dated 27.1.2003 regarding
procedure for reservation on internet through IRCTC. The instructions ibid inter-alia
' envisage that refund of ही tickets'to IRCTC shall be made through General Pay order.

The matter has been examined and it has been decided that refunds of e/i tickets to
" IRCTC upto Rs.3000/- per passenger may be made under post check system through Pay
