Jen Shatabdi. Express trains with characteristiog of Shatabdi - Express trains having Second Class and AC Chair Car acoommodation — have been introduced/will be introduced on Zonal Railways. The II/SL clags pass holders have been permitted to travel on Second Class: accommodation by these trains on their Duty/Privilege/Post-retirement Complimentary Passes vide Establishment Directorate’s letter Ne ECW)2000P85-1/17 dated 31 5.2002, a copy of which'is enclosed Since, these trains have been introduced on the pattern of Shatabdi — Express trains, it has been decided that separate reservation quota es “Duty Pass Quote” should-be earmarked for Duty/Privilege/Post- retirement Complimentary Pass holders by ‘Jan Shatabdi’ Express trains — in both the classes i.e, Second Class and AC Chair Car. Out of the ‘Duty Pass’ quota so earmarked, 50% of the quota will be available at the counter for bookings on first come first served basis and the remaining _ 50% will be operated as Emergency Quota, The number of seats'to be earmarked as Duty Pass Quota in these classes will be decided by the Zonal Railways keeping in view. the composition of the trains.
