(Commercial Circular No. 48 of 2004) Sub: Priority in the matter of reservation for rail travel by Members of the Press Council of India Please refer to Board’s letter No. 2001.TG-I/20/P. dated 28.8.2001 and 05.11.2001 on the subject quoted above forwarding therewith a copy of the list of the members of Press Council of India with’ instructions that necessary assistance may be extended: to them in the matter of grant of priority in rail reservation till 21.05,2004, The Press Council of India has now advised that the new members and officials of the Council have been notified for the next 3 years i.e. upto 11.10.2007 and the facility may be extended to the new members. A list indicating the name of the new members and officials of Press council of India is enclosed for information. . Ministry of Railways desire that whenever members & Officials of the Press Council of India, mentioned in the enclosed list, travel by rail to perform their statutory and Judicial duties, necessary assistance may be extended to them in the matter of grant of priority in rail reservation.
