Sub: Change of Boarding point.

As per extant instructions, passenger who has purchased a ticket
from a particular station can change his boarding station 24 hours before
the departure of the train as per provision of Para-637 of Indian Railway
Commercial Manual (IRCM) Volume-1.
While referring to provisions of this para, clarification has been
sought whether a passenger who has changed the boarding point can
travel from original boarding point to the changed boarding point on the
authority of the same ticket if there is vacancy in the train.
It is clarified that provision of Para-637 of IRCM Volume-1 is very
clear wherein it has been indicated that the change of station once made
will be final i.e. In case a passenger has changed the boarding point,
he/she will loose all right to board the train from the original boarding
point. If found travelling without any proper authority to travel, he/she
will have to pay fare with penalty between original boarding point to
changed boarding point.
Necessary instruction may be issued to all concerned and receipt of
this letter may be acknowledged.

विषय: बोर्डिंग पॉइंट में बदलाव.
मौजूदा अनुदेशों के अनुसार, यात्री जिसने किसी स्टेशन विशेष से एक टिकट
खरीदी है, भारतीय रेल वाणिज्यिक नियमावली (आईआरसीएम) वॉल्यूम-1 के पैरा-637
के उपबंध के अनुसार गाड़ी के प्रस्थान से 24 घंटे पहले अपना बोर्डिंग स्टेशन परिवर्तित
कर सकता है.
इस पैरा के उपबंधों का उल्लेख करते समय स्पष्टीकरण मांगा गया है कि क्या एक
यात्री जिसने बोर्डिंग पॉइंट बदला हो, उसी टिकट के प्राधिकार पर, यदि गाड़ी में स्थान है
तो मूल बोर्डिंग पॉइंट से परिवर्तित बोर्डिंग पॉइंट तक यात्रा कर सकता है.
. यह स्पष्ट किया जाता है कि भारतीय रेल वाणिज्यिक नियमावली (आईआरसीएम)
ateqa-1 के पैरा-637 का उपबंध एकदम स्पष्ट है, जिसमें यह दर्शाया गया है कि एक
बार किया स्टेशन परिवर्तन अंतिम होगा अर्थात् यदि एक यात्री ने बोर्डिंग पॉइंट बदला है,
तो वह मूल बोर्डिंग पॉइंट से गाड़ी में चढ़ने के सभी अधिकार खो देगा. यदि कोई यात्री
यात्रा के लिए किसी उचित प्राधिकार के बिना यात्रा करता हुआ पाया जाता है तो उसे मूल
atten पॉइंट से परिवर्तित बोर्डिंग पॉइंट के बीच शास्ति सहित किराए का भुगतान करना
पड़ेगा.
