(COMMERCIAL CIRCULAR NO. 44 OF 2014) Sub: Facility of free journey to SC/ST candidates appearing in exams conducted by Railway Recruitment Commission (RRC) on the downloadable admit cards. KER As per earlier practice, the SC/ST candidates appearing for written examination conducted by RRCs were allowed to travel from their residence to the examination center and back on the authority of admit cards issued by the recruiting agency subject to the condition that admit cards should be signed in ink by the Assistant Secretary of the recruiting agency. It has now been decided to permit issuance of 100% downloadable admit cards for such candidates appearing for written examination for post in PB-I (GP 1800) in the month of November, 2014. It has, however, been reported that such candidates are being denied reservation of seats/berths by some PRS centers assigning reason that the authority is a computerised generated document and they do not have any instructions to accept such documents. 2. The matter has been examined and it has been decided that SC/ST candidates appearing in the exams conducted by RRCs may be allowed to book ticket on submission of self-attested photocopy of admission certificate and SC/ST certificate. During the journey, these candidates should carry original SC/ST certificate and one original prescribed proof of identity for undertaking journey in reserved class failing which they will be treated as travelling without ticket and charged accordingly. 3.
