Sub: Installation of Coin Vending Machines,
The issue relating to installation of Coin Vending Machines (CVMs) at railway
stations has been examined and it has been decided as under:
i) All Public Sector Banks shall be permitted to install CVMs at Railway Booking Offices.
First choice could be given to State Bank of India (SBI) followed by other Public Sector
Banks on first-cum-first-served basis.
ii) Indian Railway shall provide space for installation of the Coin Vending Machines
(CVMs) on nominal one time license fee of Rs. 1.0/- (one),
iii) Electricity shall be provided free of cost. Electrical wiring from the nearest main supply
point to the machine duly protected by MCB should be drawn by the service provider.
iv) Permission may be given to install these machines for a period of 3 years.
v) The Bank shall install the machines at locations identified by Divisions. Total number
of vending machines to be restricted to a maximum of 4 at each booking office in A-1
category stations and a maximum of 2 at each booking office at other category of
stations.
vi) The Bank shall maintain the machines at their own cost.
vii) The Bank shall also ensure that the requisite amount of coins are available in machines,
at all times.
viii) The Bank shall also indicate the name of the manager who shall be contacted in case
shortage of change and requirement of maintenance.
ix) No advertisement on the machines shall be permitted except the name and logo of the
Bank.
x) Positioning of the machines should be such that they do not hinder the movement of
passengers.
This has the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.

रेलवे स्टेशनों पर कॉइन वेडिंग मशीनों (सीवीएम) को इनस्टॉल करने से संबंधित मामले
की जांच की गई है और यह विनिश्चय किया गया है कि :-
(0. सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के सभी बैंकों को रेलवे बुकिंग कार्यालयों पर सीवीएम इनस्टॉल करने की
अनुमति दी जाएगी। इसके लिए पहला अवसर भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (एसबीआई) को और
उसके बाद पहले आओ पहले पाओ के आधार पर सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के अन्य बैंकों को
अवसर दिया जा सकता है।
Gi) भारतीय रेल इन कॉइन वेंडिंग मशीनों (सीवीएम) को इनस्टॉल करने के लिए 1.0/- (एक)
रुपए के नाममात्र एकमुश्त लाइसेंस शुल्क पर स्थान मुहैया कराएगी ।
(ii) इसके लिए बिजली निःशुल्क मुहैया कराई जाएगी। सेवा प्रदाता द्वारा निकटवर्ती मेन
सप्लाई प्वाइंट से एमसीबी से विधिवत् रूप से संरक्षित बिजली की तारें लगाई जाएंगी।
(Gv) इन मशीनों को तीन वर्ष की अवधि के लिए इनस्टॉल करने की अनुमति दी जाएगी।
(v) बैंक, मंडल द्वारा चिह्नित किए गए स्थानों पर इन मशीनों को संस्थापित करेगा। ए-1 कोटि
के स्टेशनों पर प्रत्येक बुकिंग कार्यालय में अधिकतम 4 बेंडिंग मशीनें ही लगाई जा सकेंगी
और अन्य कोटि के स्टेशनों पर प्रत्येक बुकिंग कार्यालय में अधिकतम 2 वेंडिंग मशीनें ही
लगाई जा सकेंगी। ं a
(vi) Sept द्वारा मशीनों का रख-रखाव अपनी लागत पर किया जाएगा।

(vii) बैंक यह भी सुनिश्चित करेंगे कि इन मशीनों में हर समय अपेक्षित मात्रा में सिक्के उपलब्ध
हों।
(viii) बैंक उस प्रबंधक के नाम का भी उल्लेख करेगा जिससे रेजगारी की कमी होने की स्थिति में
और रखरखाव संबंधित कार्य के लिए संपर्क किया जा सके।
(ix) बैंक के नाम और लोगो को छोड़कर इन मशीनों पर किसी भी प्रकार के विज्ञापन की
अनुमति नहीं होगी |
(x) मशीनें ऐसी जगह पर लगाई जाएं, जिससे यात्रियों को आने-जाने पर कोई बाधा न हो |
