Sub; Corrigendum: to Circular No.12 (Commercial Department) issued
vide Board's tetter No, 99/T: GIV/Halts’Policy dated 17.5.99
In partial modification of above noted Board’s circular dated 17.5,99 ibid,
Board have decided that after para TVa(5), para [Va(6) and para IVa(7) may be
incorporated as under :-

(6) — Applications for appointment of halt contractors shall be invited
through advertisement in the local newspapers.

(7) Period of contract shall be 3 years and thereafter fresh contract
shall be awarded by calling of fresh applications. The existing halt
contractors shall also be eligible to apply. Action shall be taken
well in advance to inwvite fresh applications for appointment of halt

contractors.
