(Commercial Circular No. 26 of 2008) Sub: Revised peak and non-peak periods under Tatkal Scheme. Please refer to para I(iv) of Board’s instructions No. 2003/TG-1/20/P/Tatkal dated 26.8.2004(Commercial Circular No. 33 of 2004) and para 8 of the revised Tatkal Scheme enclosed therewith wherein duration of the lean and peak periods together with Tatkal charges were advised. 2. While presenting the Railway Budget for financial year 2008-09, Hon’ ble MR has announced discount/concession in the fare in different classes and for peak and non-peak periods. Since, the non-peak period advised for this purpose is different from that of Tatkal Scheme, the matter has been reviewed and it has. been decided to keep the same peak & non-peak period for Tatkal Scheme as has been indicated in the Budget speech mentioned above.
