Sub: Clarification on providing reserved accommodation proyided in LSLRD coaches provided in fully reserved trains such as Duronte express trains. Recently, a reference was received from one of the Zonal Railways requesting therein . to issue clarification with respect to the Duronto trains regarding earmarking of accommodation in LSLRD coaches and methodology to be adopted for catering facility. 2. ii. 2.1 The matter has been examined. After consideration, the following has been decided:- Booking of accommodation in the LSLRD portion in fully reserved trains such as Duronto express should be on reservation basis only and allowing 04 berths available in LSLRD coach for booking under Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) quota. The requirement of providing pre-paid catering services in the passenger portion of LSLRD coaches is dispensed with. Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned accordingly.
