Sub: Issue of tickets through Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs)
of Banks.
Please refer to this Office letter of even number dated 27.8.2002
(Commercial Circular No.73 of 2002) on the subject quoted above
wherein instructions were issued to Zonal Railways for introducing the
facility of issuing Unreserved/Reserved tickets, MSTs/QSTs through
ATMs of Banks and modified vide this Office letter of even number
dated 13.2.2003 (Commercial Circular No.9 of 2003).
The matter has been reviewed in this Office and it has been
decided that the Commercial Circular No.73 of 2002 stands cancelled as
those banks which do not have the approval of Comptroller General of
Accounts (CGA), to conduct Gevernment business cannot be allowed to
issue railway tickets through their ATMs. Any arrangement in respect
of ticketing, if entered with such banks, should be cancelled with
immediate effect.

उपर्युक्त विषय पर कृपया इस कार्यालय के दिनांक 27.8.2002 के समसंख्यक पत्र (2002
का वाणिज्य परिपत्र सं.73) का अवलोकन करें जिसमें क्षेत्रीय रेलों को बैंको की ऑटोमैटिक टेलर
मशीनों के माध्यम से अनारक्षित/आरक्षित टिकटें, मासिक सीजन टिकर्टे/तिमाही सीजन टिकटें जारी
करने की सुविधा शुरू करने के अनुदेश जारी .किए गए थे तथा जिसे इस कार्यालय के दिनांक
13.2.2003 के समसंख्यक पत्र (2003 का वाणिज्य परिपत्र सं.9) द्वारा आशोधित किया गया है.
मामले की इस कार्यालय में समीक्षा की गई तथा यह विनिश्चय किया गया है कि 2002 के
वाणिज्य परिपत्र सं. 73 को te माना जाए क्योंकि उन बैंको जिन्हें सरकारी कामकाज के लिए लेखा
महानियंत्रक का अनुमोदन प्राप्त नहीं है, को उनकी ऑटोमैटिक टेलर मशीनों के माध्यम से रेलवे
टिकटें जारी करने की अनुमति नहीं दी जा सकती. यदि ऐसे बैंकों में टिकटों के संबंध में कोई व्यवस्था
शुरू की गई है तो उसे तत्काल प्रभाव से रद कर दिया जाए.
