Installation of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) Bank, Dena Bank, Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank and Union Bank of
Government of India (Bharat Sarkar) Ministry of Railways (Rail Mantralya) Rail Bhawan Yo ate ofa oo oh No.2006/TG-I/10/P/ATM New Delhi, Dated: 2 -1-2008 The Chief Commercial Managers, All Zonal Railways. (Commercial Circular No. 1 of 2008) Sub: Installation of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). Memoranda of Understanding were signed by Ministry of Railways with Six nationalised banks i.e Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Dena Bank, Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank and Union Bank of India for installation of ATMs at various locations. Instructions in this regard issued vide this office letter of even number dated 7-12-2006 (Commercial Circular No. 104 of 2006) may please be connected. As per MoU, 12 month time period was given to these banks for installation of these ATMs along with e-ticketing kiosks at selected locations. This time period has expired on 22.11.2007. These Banks, while quoting a number of difficulties encountered by them in installation of ATMs, have requested to extend the validity of the MoU by another six months. The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided to extend the validity of the MoU for installation of ATMs by Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Dena Bank, Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank and Union Bank of India upto 31.3.2008. Zonal Railway may take all necessary steps to ensure expeditious installation of ATMs as per terms and conditions mentioned in the MoU and standard agreement. Le (Sanjay Manocha) Dy.
