           Sub: Installation of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at railway station. 
 
 
Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) have been signed by Ministry of 
Railways with State Bank, Punjab National Bank, Dena Bank, Bank of Baroda, 
Canara Bank, Indian Bank and Union Bank of India for installation of Automated 
Teller Machines (ATMs) at various locations on Indian Railways. 
 
 
Informal queries have been raised by the Banks as well as certain 
Railways regarding incorrect category of stations or showing incorrect zonal 
Railway for a particular station in the list of locations for which Memoranda have 
been signed. The matter has been examined in this office and it is desired that the 
following action may be taken in such cases: - 
 
(i) 
License fee should be realised on the basis of correct category of station 
available on the records of zonal railway.  
 
(ii) 
In case incorrect zonal railway has been shown for a particular station, the 
Bank may be asked to get in touch with the zonal Railway concerned and 
Ministry of Railways may be informed of this change.  
 
 
 
Necessary instructions should be issued to all concerned and kindly 
acknowledge receipt of this letter.
