Sub: Scheme for RTSAs for booking reserved 
tickets through Internet. 
 
At present Rail Travellers Service Agents (RTSAs) are 
required to purchase tickets from the reservation counters 
by standing in queue. The proposal for allowing RTSAs to 
book ticket through Internet was under consideration of 
this Ministry.    
 
Ministry of Railways have approved the proposal for 
allowing RTSAs to book reserved tickets through Internet. 
Accordingly, IRCTC has been asked to frame a plan for 
implementation of this scheme. Zonal Railways should, 
therefore, advise all RTSAs immediately to approach 
IRCTC if they want to avail the facility of internet booking 
through IRCTC’s website.   Each RTSA should be 
individually advised in this regard.
