Block Instrument working is suspended during TSL working.
LSS shall not be used during TSL working.

Whenever one line obstructed due to an accident / obstruction on a double line section, SM at one end of affected section may introduce temporary single line working in consultation with SCOR and other end SM.
Before that, if in doubt, SM shall get reliable information in writing that one line is clear from  Engineering  Official not below the rank of JE/P Way.

Single line working introduced between  nearest Stations provided with cross over points between  ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ lines on either side of the obstruction.
If any class ‘C’ Station available between above two Stations, treated as closed.
If the train is running in the wrong line all fixed signals shall be kept in the ‘ON’ position.
SM shall advise other end SM under exchange of PN with following particulars:-

Source of information, that the said line is clear from obstructions
Place of the obstruction
Speed restriction, if any, on the line
Closure of class C Stations, if any.
Assurance of trap points Spiked/ Clamped/Padlocked, if any.
Assurance for keeping the relevant signals at ‘ON’
The number and timings of last Train  arrived/despatched

All the cross over points over which the Train has to pass shall be clamped and padlocked.
Block working suspended after both end SMs keeping the Instrument in TOL position.
Line Clear shall be obtained through means of communication other than Block Instrument .
LP of each train H/O an ATP for TSL indicating the line on which is to run, KM btn which the obstruction exists, any speed restriction, auth to pass LSS at ‘ON’ etc .

T/D 602 issued as ATP.  It contains:
Line clear ticket
Authority to pass despatch signal(s) at ‘ON’& to pass signals of the Station/s which is / are closed.
Caution Order regarding:
The Line on which Single Line working is introduced.
Location of the obstruction.
Speed of 1st train shall not exceed 25 KMPH.
LP to inform gatemen/ gang men en route about S/L working.
Any other speed restriction available in the Block section.

While proceeding on the wrong line, LP to switch on flasher light.
If LP has not switched-on flasher light, Train shall be stopped by Gang men / gate men / Station staff.
Right direction
For despatch-all signals except LSS can be taken off. For passing LSS -T/D 602 is authority.
For reception- at the next Station, can be received by taking ‘OFF’ the signal(s).

Wrong direction
For despatch,
T/511+T/D 602 and the Train shall be piloted out of the Station.
For reception,
LP shall stop the Train at the foot of the LSS of the same line or opposite of the FSS of the adjacent line.
SM shall depute a rly servant in uniform at the foot of the signal who shall stop the train on HD signal and thereafter pilot it into station on a written memo [as per SR.5.10 (i)]  issued by the SM.
All the points over which the train shall proceed while TSL working is in force, shall be clamped and padlocked.
