faua/Sub: Formation of Group ‘B’/Commercial Panel of ACM against 30% LDCE vacancies
through CBT for vacancy cycle 2025-26 in Commercial Department/ECoR

1. Railway Board, vide letter No. E(GP)2024/2/37 (3477173) dated 12.12.2025, has decided that
Group ‘B’ selection against 30% (LDCE) through Centralized Computer Based Objective Type
Examination (CBT) for the year 2025-26 (from 01.01.2025 to 30.06.2027) shall be conducted by
RRB/Ajmer tentatively on 08.03.2026(Sunday). Further instructions for conduct of CBT will be
intimated in due course.

2. Accordingly, vacancies have been assessed for formation of Group-B/Commercial Panel of 03 (02-
UR & 01-SC) posts of ACM in Level-8 against 30% LDCE in Commercial Department of East
Coast Railway.

3. Eligibility Conditions:

In terms of Para (ii) of Railway Board’s letter No. E(GP)2019/2/25 dated 27.12.2019 (RBE No.

216/2019), Group-C employees of Commercial Department & CLAs of ECoR working in Level-6

and above with 5 years of non-fortuitous service in the grade (including non-fortuitous service

rendered in corresponding pre-revised grades) as on 01.01.2025 (cut-off date) are eligible for the

post of ACM/Group ‘B’ against 30% LDCE vacancy for the assessment period of 2025-26.

NOTE:

(i) In terms of Rly. Board letter No. E(NG)1-93/PMI/4 dtd. 18.01.93, time spent by the Railway
Servant under training immediately before appointment to regular service will be counted as
service for the purpose of LDCE.

(ii) Staff whose lien is maintained in the jurisdiction of ECoR are only eligible. Besides, the Staff
whose lien is maintained in ECoR but working outside the jurisdiction of ECoR will also be
eligible. In such case, they have to submit their applications through the Personnel Officers of
the Divisions/Units where their lien is maintained and this should be certified by the concerned
Personnel Officers only.

(iii) In terms of Rly. Board letter No. E(GP)2005/2/74 dtd. 13.03.2008 (RBE No. 40/2008), in case
of persons transferred on request basis to a new unit in the same category of posts, and assigned
bottom seniority therein, the service rendered by them in the previous unit shall be reckoned for
determining their eligibility wherever a minimum length of service is prescribed as a condition,
for promotion in the new unit, subject to the condition that the length of service which is so
allowed shall be counted, does not exceed the length of service of their immediate senior in the
new unit.

(iv) CLAs who have fulfilled the above eligibility conditions are also eligible in terms of Para-6.3.2

of Master Circular No. 68.

Mode of Selection: The selection shall consist of (i) Centralized Computer based Objective Type
Examination (CBT), (ii) Viva-voce (with prior Medical Fitness test) and Assessment of Record of
Service.

Objective and Scheme of Examination: The examination aims at a comprehensive assessment of
knowledge of the candidates related to their Technical subject, Official language policy,
Establishment and Financial Rules.

CBT Examination: As per Railway Board’s letter No. E(GP)2022/2/4 dated 28.06.2022, the CBT
examination for formation of Group ‘B’ panel of ACM against 30% LDCE will be one stage only
and will comprise of only one paper with the following set up:

(a) Single paper of 150 marks comprising 100% objective type multiple choice questions with the

following distribution of marks as per Railway Board’s letter No. E(GP)2022/2/4 dtd.
06.09.2022.
