Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs Department of Official Language(impl-2) FHKE B Wing, 4th floor, NDCC-2 Building, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi-110001, Dated : 02February, 2024 OFFICE MEMORANDUM Subject: Rajbhasha Gaurav Award Scheme for Original Book Writing in Hindi for the year 2023. With an objective to encourage writing books originally in Hindi and to promote Official Language, in Pursuance of Resolution No. 11034/01/2023-0.L.(Policy) dated 22.06.2023. Under the scheme, ‘Rajbhasha Gaurav Puraskar Yojna' books (Books Published during 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2023) are invited in following four categories. 1. “Rajbhasha Gaurav Puraskar Yojana for writing original book in Hindi” for the citizens of India Subject: Books can be written on the following subjects:- i) Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, Biology, Energy, Space Science, Medical Science, Chemistry, Information Technology, Management, Psychology, Contemporary subjects such as Liberalisation, Globalisation, Consumerism, Human Rights, Pollution etc.(Form-1) ii) Forensic Science, Police Research, Criminology and Police Administration etc.(Form-2) iii) Culture, Religion, Art, Heritage etc. (Form-3) iv) Original book writing in Hindi in the field of Law. Eligibility: Any citizen of India can participate in this award scheme. 4. Common terms for the above schemes: i) In case of Authors being more than one, each co-author must fill the proforma separately. ii) Under the scheme, only those books in Hindi which are original work of the author are accepted. Translated books are not accepted. iii) The books awarded previously by any government organization will not be eligible. Department of Official Language must be informed immediately if the book is awarded under any other award scheme before the declaration of awards under the subject scheme. iv) Under the scheme, books published between 01.01.2023 and 31.12.2023 are acceptable. v) The book should be an analytical review of the subject it deals with. Books written in the form of departmental manuals, thesis for Ph.D., poems, novel, story, play etc. or text books are not eligible. vi) The author will be responsible for facts and figures given in the book and must give references wherever possible as proof. vii) If a person has received a prize under the original book writing scheme of Department of Official Language during the preceding three years, his/her entry sh
